‘The mushroom course was excellent, very informative. Learnt how to recognise mushrooms characteristics; what to avoid and where to look for different species. We were shown some I had never seen before. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed it so much.’ Viv White
A morning collecting edible wild mushrooms in an area of stunning private woodland, learning to safely identify edible and poisonous species and getting to understand how these amazing organisms protect, regulate and manage the forest eco system.
All walks are held in Hampshire within a few miles of Brockenhurst or Ashurst stations…the exact locations will be provided prior to the event and all walks will be lead by either John Rensten or Peter Studzinski.
Please be advised before booking, some of our mushroom forays may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties so if in any doubt pleas email me in advance. In addition, please be aware that although these events run for approximately 3 hours, that could easily turn out to be 4 hours instead, so I urge you not to book a posh lunch somewhere timed precisely to coincide with the end of the walk, give yourself plenty of leeway.
If this event is fully booked and you’d like to go on the cancellations waiting list, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
