The Edible City: A Year of Wild Food

Gift Vouchers for seashore foraging.

Minimum Amount: £80.00

Give someone the gift of a foraging walk.

After meeting at 12pm at a beach location either close to Weymouth or Swanage, we will head off to explore a couple of very different coastal environments, with estuary and seaside foraging, gathering seaweeds at low tide, samphire, wild spinach and numerous other delicious edibles followed by a beach cookery class with The Coastal Survival School and a beach cook up and drinks to finish. The food we prepare will be suitable for vegetarians (we won’t be collecting any shell fish on these events). We will be covering various different types of terrain, some quite rocky (if you are at all unsure about this then please email me before booking). The beach location we visit are either 20 minutes drive from Weymouth or Wareham stations (about 2.30mins direct from Waterloo, a bit longer to drive). If coming by train then please expect to get a taxi from outside the station which will cost an additional £15 each way. This course finishes at approximately 4.30-5pm.

If you would like to book places on any of our walks or workshops for someone else, please enter the sum or sums that match the events you think they would like and use the button above. Vouchers may be used as full or part payment for any of our foraging related events. Please read the details below before proceeding.

The purchaser will receive an immediate email with the full colour printable voucher, unless they select to have it sent straight to the recipient, and add a personal message.

Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase and are non refundable.

Other terms and conditions apply to the events themselves, specifically the cancellation policy as follows.
“To cancel a booked place and get a refund I need 2 full weeks notice. If you cancel anytime later than this I can neither give you a refund, or transfer you to another walk. The reason is that once the walk is full I take it off my site so it becomes very hard to then fill the place (and I lose the opportunity to sell the place you had) and if I just move you to another walk I am still out of pocket. I am happy for you to send someone else in your place and where possible I will obviously try to fill the place but make no guarantees and usually don’t have the ability to do this.”

Locations may also change if absolutely necessary, very occasionally and always to somewhere nearby, in order to make the most of what is in season.
