DORSET : Spring Foraging & Wild Salad Making. April 28th.

Wareham, Dorset.
10am-1pm Sunday
April 28th

This event will start at 10am in Terra Organics Cafe, on South Street in Wareham, after which we will head off for a foraging walk, gathering various seasonal edible plants. April is a wonderful month for foraging but the weather in the UK is totally unpredictable and that dictates what we can and can’t find, so I will be looking at all the available options much nearer the time but the majority of the walk will focus on being in and around Wareham. Depending on the weather we may do a riverside walk or look at some areas of meadowland, floodplains or surrounding woodlands. During this event we will be sampling and collecting different wild foods with a view to returning to the cafe and creating inspired dishes with our bounty. We will be exploring various different types of terrain.

This event is not suitable for under 10 year olds.

If you are coming from London, Wareham station is about 2hrs 20mins direct from Waterloo or a similar drive if the traffic is good.
